My best bet among others was to win over £300 for Greece winning EURO 2004 [bet done before comp] when they had no chance of winning supposedly,i have been unlucky like a few probably were you pick x amount of teams to win on a sat/sun,i once had 17 teams to win and 16 won and the other drew [that drove me mad lol,] and in lottery i would have got a few thousand quid for getting 5 numbers on a wed lottery but didnt put it on at the time,thank god the 6 didnt come out or i would have won 3.3 mil

Unlucky bet i put a tenner on kanchelskis Everton to win 2-0 against the r/s at 35/1 when fowler scored to make it 2-1 made up and gutted at the same time!
Done a tenner craig short 4-0 i think it was over christmas cant remember exactly but it come in and i got bladdered!

The year we beat wimbledon to stay up, had a bet predicting the top 3 in all 4 Divs. £10.00 bet netted nearly £3k. Nowhere near since though!

thanks for the replies guys. was definitely big fun reading all your glories and disappointments. if any of you guys fancy putting our heads together for the start of wimbledon first round on monday let me know. 64 matches in each of the first rounds, men, and women. I normally come really close to winning big. but be good if we can put our thoughts together to help each other out. message me if you want.

Best bet was when we won the cup in 95. I stuck a quid on before the third round at 20/1. Hey, 20 quid was a lot of money to me back then! I used to be able to get pissed on a fiver in those days!!

Worst bet was in France 98 when I got 15/1 on Batistuta being top scorer. I had a tenner on him and he was going to pay for my uni summer beer money. Damn you Dennis Bergkamp! That wonder goal denied Batistuta a semi final and a guarantee of two more matches. He finished runner up with 5 goals, despite only getting to the quarters.

OP that is quite unlucky about your 100 grand. If you had won I'd bet you would have gambled it all away by now and then some more on top so be careful what you wish for! Chin up lad.

I just put £14 (all the money I have in the world) on Australia U-17s to beat Brazil U-17s! £154 if I win and even game so far.

I'm gonna lose but if I win, awesome!
