Rather him coming off the bench than Barry or McCarthy any day.
Still think there's a very good player in there if he can stay fit. I'd write this season off now to be honest but hopefully in pre-season he can just pick up where he left off last summer before that bloody injury. Koeman I think will give him a fair chance, he has with almost everyone else.

He is one of those players that can play almost anywhere on the pitch, but he has to stay healthy. You can't become a player if you can't stay on the field.

I agree that he is a player you don't want to give up on. He would be an option to start in cup matches and I would definitely see bringing him on for Davies or Gueye to close out a match to bring in fresh legs. He is tenacious and last season was the best tackler in the side (Gueye and Schneiderlin are better now).

After losing so many players to injury it is great to get one back. I don't expect to see him in the first team for a while yet but hopefully he will get a few minutes before the end of the season and then be ready for pre season in July.

Doubt he will play, might get a chance in pre season next season to show something but I expect he will be sold in January if not before. His fitness record is abysmal so we may as well get rid.

What's all this hate towards Barry, sure he's not the player he once was but can still do a job in certain games, he's been great for us over the last couple of seasons and yes he does need replacing but let's give the man a little respect.

Koeman will have him earmarked as a centre back in a 3 man defence. Its a position he can play and a position we need to look at.

Why buy extra back-ups when we have them in the squad? With us going from 2-3 centre backs in games we need really about 5 and then Besic could be a utility midfield/defensive back-up.

For a 3 man defence where one of them will look to move into midfield as and when required he would be ideal. We would still probably need someone else anyway.
I have no doubt that Koeman rates Besic (and he should do, he has got a lot of ability) just a case of seeing where and how he fits in.
Galloway looked fine. Nothing spectacular, didn't do anything wrong etc.
