Well I wasn’t there New Year’s Day
I only get over 8/10 times a season for home games and the Palace away game

I thought he was very good on Sunday.

Sometimes it doesnt come off for him as perhaps a lack of physicality, but he has a football brain and defenders will be petrified of his quick feet and thinking.

....there was a moment at Southampton where he could’ve put Lookman in on goal but the pass was intercepted. It wasn’t a difficult pass to complete but that moment was symptomatic of what i’ve seen on a number of occasions with him.

He does create, he can put in dangerous crosses but often when a killer ball is on he fails to deliver. Disappointing for somebody with his ability.

True. That little touch pass to Lookman was sublime mind.

Doesn't offer any threat in the final third. Needs to be used as a sub until the end of the season because this side can't afford a luxury player who doesn't offer any moments of magic leading to goals.

We hopefully can improve next season and he can start regularly because he is good. But right now he's a burden on the rest of the team and the defence.

He hasn't scored a league goal. We don't have a good enough team to accommodate that sort of return right now.

You can keep spending your days slagging off Siguurdson and DCL etc but we need people to score. And Bernard doesn't. Nor does he have many assists. 90% of his nice touches and flicks are in the middle third and not hurting the opposition.

I don't want to drop people like Bernard who are technically so good, but it's about finding a balance between attack and defence. We are a mess right now.

It's not a stretch to believe he is still adjusting to the rigours of the premier league and may take until next season, certainly won't be the first player... I've seen enough to think he has much more to offer!

He's our highest assister in the league, one of the few that creates chances in this side and one of a few that actually looks like he's putting in some effort. Comfortabley been one of our better performers week in week out for quite a while now

Bernard is the reason Digne is able to get forward as much as he does, because he puts a shift in defensively down that side covering for Digne.
