I disagree. I think Sigurdsson is our best number 10 but if Bernard gets going i think he'll be a more than adequate back up. Would you rather just run Sigurdsson until he breaks down? We would be even less creative with him in the treatment table. Squad game these days.

We have 5 days between games and because of his injury he got two weeks off over the international break. He's not in danger of breaking down. Also if Bernard gets going. He isn't right now.

Bernard has not hardly had any time at number 10 due to the good form that Sigurdsson is in. However I feel Sigurdsson has just come slightly off the boil and with the number of games coming up its an opportunity to look at Bernard in the position. If Sigurdsson us on the bench we can bring him on if Bernard doesn't take his opportunity but at least we would have some idea. Rather than wait until we have no choice. Sigurdsson covers a lot of distance as part of his playing style he will get fatigued. I want Sigurdsson playing in the biggest games where his extra class will make the difference. For some reason peoples heads seem to fall off when I talk about resting Sigurdsson. I've just had a similiar discussion about Mina and the other poster could see where I was coming from.

May I helpfully suggest he uses some sort of grip on his boots he uses for football, think the concept of studs, could be lost on him perhaps lost in translation or something!

On what I've seen so far Bernard is a player who decorates rather than influences a game.

For a technically adept player he seems to miss his kick and fall over a lot too.

Putting a weaker team out than the Newcastle game against a better team in Watford is not my idea of trying to win every game.

I agree with you that we need to be starting Gylfi, however the stats don't back you up here. In terms of chances created, Bernard is one of the best in the league on a "per minute" basis.

I agree 3 points us same whoever you gain it against. However I want Sigurdsson at absolute peak as that gives us more chance than him slightly off the pace. Also if our opponents know Sigurdsson is always going to play as a 10 it means they can plan better. If they know Bernard or maybe Lookman is going to play there it will be a different challenge. I like the fact we finally have good options.

No concerns over Bernard, you have to remember he's had 5 months without kicking a ball,him and Gomes are still not fully match fitand fully adjusted to the demands of our League,when taking that into account I'm very pleased with the start he's made.

Think you need to check out the chance created stats for the league mate, they may surprise you.

Exactly, if lads aren’t converting the chances he created that’s not his fault
He was never known as a decent goal scorer but he did score some decent goals

Hopefully he'll adjust to the league and he'll be a threat next season, but right now he's no Felipe Anderson.
