I still think he’d be better as an out and safe picker playing in the 10 role. If we could get the ball into his feet I think he would be really dangerous but even out wide, I’m made up with the lad.

I think he’s going to be a cracker for us and another great signing.

He's hardly ever played number ten throughout his entire career lad.

My main frustration with him yesterday (and I thought he was brilliant) was that he ignored Digne pretty much every time once they both got into the final third.

The main time this happened was when Bernard went for goal and he had Digne on the overlap. It would have been a simple pass and Digne was in the area. Again, just decision-making at the vital time.

Yep and we were right on top at that point, simple slip into Digne and fired into the box for a spectacular VVD own goal.

I don't mind him shooting there as it opened up. But it was a crap effort.

It's not just him though. Our finishing is very poor this season as a team.

Yeh, not an issue shooting, just get it on target.

But a very good performance from him yesterday. He had TAA on toast at times.

I likes him a lot. Only worry is we need a proper striker, and it’s tough to see where both he and Richarlison fit into a team with a new striker.

The biggest and most pleasant surprise about this bloke is that work rate and tenacity that he has. Despite his size he doesn't back out of challenges and at least attempts to put himself about. He reads the game well both offensively and defensively as well.

He basically can't shoot, which isn't ideal. Until we get a striker in it might be an idea to start Lookman on one of the flanks as at least he knows where the net is.

Under pressure to get goals when his job is to put them on a plate.

When we bring in the right striker I think Bernard will thrive off feeding him.
