Confirmed Signing Bernard

See lots of folks slotting him into midfield but it looks as if he's hardly played anywhere but the left wing. Will be interesting to see how Silva lines them up.

I’d have Gylfi in CM with Gana if we play 3 CBs, with Bernie left and Richie right of Cenk. Good link from defence to attack and some (theoretically) ridiculous service to Cenk/beneficiaries from his hold-up play.

Who else were in for him?

Seems a bit odd picking him up on a free if he is apparently a worldie.

Quite a few clubs

AC Milan thought they had him and so did West Ham also Chelsea and Inter made offers apparently.

Also he turned down a huge he contract at Shakhtar and wound his contract down

Played 29 games last year before he hurt his shoulder in March and missed the rest of the season.

6G/3A in 18 league games
3G in 8 Champions League games (they made it to the Round of 16)
1A in 1 league playoff game, I guess they have a second phase of the league like Scotland does
1G in 2 domestic cup games
That’s pretty steady. If he can get near them percentages we’re on to a winner

AC Milan, Chelsea and of course the mighty West Ham if you believe the papers
Totally unrealistic imo. Beating Milan, Atletico and Chelsea to a player I can get that. But the mighty West Ham? Has to be some kind of Everton propaganda that.

On: Can't say I know much about this guy, but reading all the comments on him and watching the odd youtube clip, I can't help to get a bit excited

He is a Brazilian international

Not many mugs get to play for them, but my only concern is how he will cope with the physicality of the premier league
