Yeh he played left because we had to play Rooney in the middle and we had no other left-winger. What makes you think we'll ever see him play there again?

Rooney wasn't forcing him to play left wing when he was at Swansea, and Rooney spent most of last season as a CM anyway, and the likes of Tom Davies was playing as the 10.
