I don’t think this is as much a thing nowadays, I don’t remember thinking any player has been tapped up since Rooney and if we’re not in the champions league spots then we won’t be a good enough place for Godfrey within a couple of years, simple as that

He’ll be out on tour with DCL and Keane with him so I’m sure they’ll stick together, unlike Rooney who was miles ahead of everyone else in our squad and I think was the only blue in the national team... more likely our lads are trying to tap up someone else!

It is funny how we have people worrying about our players being tapped up on internationals but well up for our players tapping up others lol
would love Grealish but we’ll need to be a cut above our current standing. He won’t leave his boyhood club to maybe challenge for Europe, he’ll be going to a team in the Champions League I’m sure

Yep, I always ask every year what talent is in the Championship but people don't seem interested, people have been fooled into thinking a sexy foreign name automatically equals a good player.

I’d be happy if we did more business in the Championship. Some of our very best signings have been from there. Cahill, Lescott, Jagielka, now Godfrey.

Top clubs should want all our players. The opposite has normally been true like in 17/18 when Gueye was probably the only player anyone wanted. If United wanted Godfrey or Holgate they can pay for them, and seeing as they paid 80 million for Harry Maguire who was older, far slower, and can only play one position, then they can expect a higher quite for lads who are young, rapid, and can play anywhere across a back 3 or 4.

Interesting thing would be:

Everton, Ancelotti, building a team with a young core and getting a new stadium.

United, massive club, big money, Solskjaer.


Id say it makes sense to join us. It would be more sensible to get regular games under a world class manager and see where you are after a couple of seasons...

Godfrey has chosen us and hopefully he and other players see the improvement we and players are making together.

I think he'll be with us a long time...we need top 4.
