Transfer Rumour Ben Doak

From the very little I’ve seen of him for both the Kult and Boro, he looks a very tidy player and we’re crying out for a right sided player

Plenty of buzz around him for a while. If it was possible to guarantee that the recent injuries aren’t indicative of recurring issues, then I’d go for it. But not £30m. Low £20’s, plus £5m add-ons if we win the quadruple, and Wimbledon. Can’t be blowing £30m on a player of any age that isnt first team ready on day 1, or is likely to miss a quarter of every season so we need to be very sure. Our £30m purchases need to either be nailed on starters and/or be worth £50m in 2 years to recycle them.

Mr Trivago got him quickly in around around the first team when he went there if that’s any indication, which probably wasn’t the original plan.

Is this pronounced
D-Oak
Doo-Ak
Or Dook

Will significantly affect my opinion on him.

Watched the lad tie Gvardiol in knots at Hampden few months ago.
£15-20m tops though as we can't be paying anyone nevermind that shower huge sums for an unproven player

Gaining traction this one... We need pace.. he has it.. £30 million sounds a lot will need a chunk of it to be paid over time based on appearances or winning a pot.

Has a year on his contract.

Tell the RS - £10m or get the lad on a free in January for next year
I'm not convinced this contract thing is true. I understand why people are saying it, but suspect the new deal kicked in from when he was 18 making the 3 year rule redundant.

This.

Plus he wouldn’t be free regardless (unless the rule about development fees for under 24s is no longer in place)

Defo think there’s legs to this one tbh. Ex Celtic so Moyes likely knows plenty about him and he’s pretty much exactly what we need on the right. The thought of them lot absolutely rinsing us for him is sickening though, think £15m or so + a few add ons would be a fair price.
