What is the club going to do with the bellefield site? Everton have been knocked back from building houses on the site!

Its such a shame such an historic site should be left to rot!

It'll probably get grated now the Kirkby thing has fallen through.

LCC didnt want to the club to make money that'll go towards the move....

Apparantly hehehe

Don't now about horses but right now after our performances we seem to have a lot of donkeys.

I reckon if there was a move to a shared stadium the council may well relax on this a bit but there will still be resident objections. Pity it is not big enough to slap a stadium on it or is it?

Let's get BP in to carry out some test drilling - maybe the prospect of a relatively small housing development won't seem so unreasonable then!

Looks like the clubs plan to sell on the site will get the go ahead on the 26th, wonder wheather it will still be worth the reported 10 mill??

Spokesman for the Council Dude: "On balance, the development control manager considers that the proposed housing on this site, at this time would not undermine the existing HMRI proposals and would help to address the need for larger, higher value homes.

Given the unique nature of the redevelopment and of the proposed regeneration benefits, the development control manager does not consider allowing housing development on this site would set any precedent to justify further redevelopment outside the HMRI area at this time."

Ian Ross: "We have always believed that high quality housing is the future for the site, and nothing has changed our view down the years."

*Had nothing to do with the K word then.
