Beer, revisited

I first got it for the pub in 2013... nothing has come close to a single hopped pale than their Citra.

It's absolutely sensational, the branding is basic which kind of turns people off because so many cans these days are eye catching, but they do it for that reason.

They also do Table beers,Stouts and Saisons but the single hopped Pale & IPAs are their bread and butter.

So happy I've managed to grab a bundle👌
Will give that a try looks super.
Not a fan of many Pale ales but that sounds like something i'd like.

Meanwhile just poured this , my fave of the few i do like.

Had many a happy time in here when I lived in Norwich, a fantastic pub.

Was in there last year, good pub. Went to Duke of Wellington after, Wolf Brewery pub, also good. Then staggered into town via Kings Head and Ribs of Beef. A great day out.

All my years working in Real Ale and Craft Beer this beer in my opinion is the best expression of single hoop brewing to come from the British isles.

We don't really get the 500ml bottles of Citra up north because Kernel tend to take care of the their London/Southern markets first which is completely fine, but a bugger for us Northerners ha.

I ran Craft pub in Soho called The Lyric and every Friday morning I'd get 2 kegs of this and 2 IPAs and both would be gone by 6 o'clock.

Londis on Penny Lane got 12 in today much to my amazement.

I realise this is an incredibly long winded post for one beer but I can't street how good this is,if you see it,buy it👍

Best UK brewery imo

When did you run the Lyric? We used to go there a fair bit when in London

I agree 100% mate.

I was there 2012 - 2014 best days of my life, good money, lived upstairs,Soho was an incredible place to live.

Before that I was in The North Pole in Angel.

I'd also say 2011 - 2016 was probably the pinnacle of Britain's craft boom.

I would have stayed there but there is always a woman involved somewhere down the line to scupper it ha.
