Beckford's goals

Cole did have a good relationship with Yorke too. I don't think Vic is our Dwight. I'm just looking at the scorers table and wondering if we need to think about Kalou again. You'd expect that Sturridge's inevitable return and the likely arrival of Neymar will push him further down the pecking order. He's only got a year left on his contract. He's 25 and his goal scoring record, despite not being a regular, ranges from 1 in 2 to 1 in 4 for club and country. This season he's scored as many as Gyan, Nasri and Torres and only 2 fewer than Drogba. He's also provided as many assists as Malouda and Saurez. A cheeky bid of about £3.5m might be enough.

Would snap their arm off for that deal. Good player, Kalou.

10 Goals in his first premier league season, cost zero in transfer fee.

Thats a hell of a return no matter how you paint it.

Good post and totaly agree with it. Hopefully 15 next season just need to become a bit more clinical.

He is lost up on his own..Needs a partner & a few scruffy goals to boost his total. How many chances did we miss , that cost us vital points to turn a few of the draws into wins.

If you consider that we screwed Spurs for £3m on Pienaar when his contract was running down, we might be able to get Salomon for a steal. A striking department of Saha, Beckford and Kalou sounds pretty good to me.
