Heinz or nothng for me.
Don't know what it's like in the UK now but here in Oz most of the Beans are now made in one factory by Heinz-Watties (now Kraft owned) in Napier NZ (cut costs) most of the actual beans come from Holland. I do believe that they will be providing beans for Aldi soon.

Anyway given they all come out of the same factory, differences in taste are down to the individual stores own taste guru(s), who, with a big eye on cost decide what recipe will sell best...usually too much sugar...in an Industry not short of the stuff to start with.
Any eating preference is down to Individual taste.
So there's your bean in a nutshell or in reality - pod.

I like mine on toast and if feeling hungry, will lash out on pork sausage, black pudding and egg as well or maybe sausage egg beans and chips.
