BBC website on 'City's rivals'; Everton excluded at the expense of others

You could easily enforce a salary cap, simply do it per team rather than on a player by player basis. That's exactly what they do in the Super League and it works fine. That way some players will still be on mega bucks but all teams would be equal in that respect.

But it won't happen, there's too much money floating into Agents pockets and the pockets of those involved with Fifa for it to happen.

Im becoming more and more in favour of Salary and or Wage caps tbh.

Footys getting more and more like buisness id love to see a bit of fairness coming back into the game.

But the big plus point with Moylez as manager is that we always finish above certain clubs who spend more than us. So why change it?

Anyway, if you can afford to pay the wages, you pay em. Simple in any business really.

If you cant be do anyway, you end up coming unstuck at the end and go belly up which there's been many examples on in football.

It doesn't help that Liverpool consistently turn us over when we play them. It'll take long long years of mediocrity before they lose the top six status in people's minds. I remember mentioning the Newcastle thing here a while back and was roundly pooh poohed. Despite them having won fook all, I do think lots of people see the barcodes as a big successful club. Mystifying.
We'll never be on these lists but who cares?
