Baxter

The only time I'd like to see him start is in winnable games, games where we are likely to win. It's a hard thing for a boy of his age to be thrown in the deep end like yesterday away from home.

He just isn't ready yet and neither is Rodwell. They've got alot of talent but it's too early for them. Cup games would be good, hopefully we can improve our squad so they don't have to play.

Good call TB, it is a policy that has worked for the Gooners on many an occasion.

We have to remember baxter is only 16 and played cos the tea lady has a sprained ankle.
He was quiet yesterday but is going to be some player .

I think we all crave for another Rooney, Wayne was a solid man like 16yr old, and we all like to think the next 16/17yr old coming through will be like him.
Moyes ain`t soft he knows deep down that JR or Jose are not ready, but both players are giving 110% to the team, i agree both players where quieter yesterday, although JR scored a perfectly good goal and Baxter had our only shot i can remember in the first half? But unfortunatly we have no other options but to play them at the moment....sad really!

Both Baxter and Rodwell will see more time this year but I imagine most of it will be in cup matches and maybe the odd league match, especially as we get some of our injured players back and hopefully sign a player or two.
