Baxter to Tranmere

I'd love to be proven wrong but I really don't see where this lad is gonna fit in.

He sorta broke onto the scene with that goal against Forest in 2008...it's been 3+ years and he's played for us about 3 times.

Hopefully some game time at Tranmere will give him a career in the game, whether that's with us or not. It does seem unlikely that he'll feature for us now, but I suppose Osman was a late bloomer too.

i can see where ur coming from on this Summerskin (14 times first team btw) but the boy is young and has promise. And if he has a good spell at tranmere - build his confidence etc. i just like seeing the young uns doing well.
optimist

Just get him out on loan and tell him to prove he isn't just hype and that he's good enough for Everton. If Moyes sees him getting pitch time here then fair enough but wasting away on the bench isn't good for club or player. If he does well he can come back and if not at least he's put himself in the shop window for other clubs.

Think this would be a good deal all round really , minutes on the field is what the lad needs and that isnt looking likely with us just now .

It would give a lot of us a better chance to tell if the lad can make it with us , I cant pass judgement on him just now because I haven seen enough of him playing .

This was a long time coming. He's looked an injection when given (limited) time in the pre-seasons and has been 3 years around the first team. The lad needs consistent first team football, hopefully he can get it at Tranmere. Here's hoping for a new Osman!

Too bad, really. This should have been the year Jose proved himself for the Everton first team. From his start as a huge young talent he really has stagnated a lot, and proven himself to be a massive tit. Firstly cause of the drug debacle a few years back, but that goes to show that he really doesn't have the cool-headed professional attitude that Barkley and Rodwell have. Just look at what he tweets - flirting with girls, seems excluded from the good company of the other first team tweeters, all that.

He's probably pissed about having to go on loan again, i think. But he needs to prove he's not an idiot, because clearly everyone rates him as a footballer, technically. If someone went and bought the lad he would benefit hugely, imagine how he would sort his head out if he went to some bigger club. The irony is that he won't get to go to a bigger club than Tranmere if he doesn't sort his head out. Still giving his head some time for Moyes to sort out, but it's starting to run out, like.

He's never been out on loan before, has he?
