Good luck to him.

He made a big choice leaving Everton when he didn't have another club lined up. He wanted to go and play first team football, and should be congratulated for it. After all, he could have sat on his arse at Everton picking up £8k a week.

If Baxter was half the player he thought he was and he was expected to be then he would have had a string of clubs desperate to sign him. Everton clearly had doubts about him which is why he was offered two years on a reduced salary and the fact that he has trained with a few sides and not been signed up by them shows he isn't as special as he must think. I agree with previous posts that he must reflect on that two year offer from Everton and regret not signing, he could have had that security and gone on loan to Oldham for 4 months!

I know I wouldn't have the bottle to walk away from 2 years on 8k a week. (or even half that). I admire the lad for having done that in order to do what he loves - playing competitive matches. Nice to hear he scored first time out.. well done lad.

He has a serious attitude problem, both on and off the field, that's why no club would touch him with a barge pole till now. The reason he got so much stick here were for those reasons, he's also a massive red ****e which didn't help him
