Battle for 4th

We've given ourselves a chance

I honestly don't think we'll do it, I think we gave ourselves just too much to do with that period where we went 3 months without an away win. Having said that, I'm very happy that we've managed to get ourselves back in the mix.

Ultimately I think Arsenal will secure 4th with a game or two to spare, but this has been a great season regardless. The expectations for next season are going to be very high though!

Can't help stressing how important it is to to take it a game at a time! Cup final on Sunday; if we lose it won't matter what the rest of the fixture list looks like for either team.

Bottom line is we need to win all our remaining home games and take at least 5 from the remaining 9 away. Arsenal also need to drop a right royal ballsack for any chance. Let's not forget, United could still go into full complete and total jamminess yet....

Beat arsenal and win 3 and draw 2 of the remaining 6. That would put us on 74 points and needing them to drop points in two of their last five. Would be very irritating finishing on 74-75 points and that only being good enough for 5th.

They are a brittle team mentally, Arsenal. Ideally City would have trounced them this weekend to get them really jittery. But we have to beat them and win our game in hand and then match their results for as long as we can. It'll be no fun being hunted down by us and its a hell of a lot easier chasing a team for Everton than it is trying to fend off teams, I reckons.

Yep agree 100%. Fingers crossed hey.

We have give ourselves an unbelievable chance, one that i thought we had no chance off getting,or even getting close to,to think we were 14 points behind arsenal just over 4 weeks ago who were 2nd at that time ,and the good thing is its all in our own hands, will still be very hard to get but at least we have a brilliant chance

It's still theirs to lose but if we beat them at the weekend then it puts more pressure on them and they don't always handle pressure well.

Saints away should be a cracking match for the neutral, could easily see something like a 3-2. Hopefully we're on the right side of it.

I love the optimism and i really hope you are right mate, but less not forget they have qualified for the Champions league in every season under Wenger, we have seen them capitulate against the big teams recently but they know how to get over the line. Wenger for once made a good point over the weekend that they have had serious injury issues to deal with all season, only for these injuries i feel we would be much further back. It's crucial for us to get 3 points Sunday.

Can't wait

A bit like us last year though mate, i think the managerial uncertainty surrounding them now must be in the players minds, can't be helping them especially in the real pressure games like, think we will do them over 4-2 in a silly end to end game actually

Arsenals record at Goodison is the best of any other team in the PL. There is something about Arsenal's style of play that does not suit Everton...(or did not in the Moyes past) THIS is the hardest game(of the remaining 7) for Everton. Somehow I am suspecting a draw.
