He just needs to play Barry now. Please. Beto is not good enough and is too old to have any potential upside. It's clear that the form he had last season was a purple patch. Barry at least has a bit more time and potential on his side. Give him a run of games and let him play into form.

Should have signed vardy on a free, said it here months ago and was shot down! I couldn’t fault Beto for effort but he just can’t trap a ball or finish off a chance….god only knows what our scouts saw in Barry, Chermiti take two. At this stage I’d play neither and deploy Ndiaye as a false 9 and bring in one of Alcaraz/Dibling/Rohl on the wing

The answer is still Beto 👍 But another striker is an essential for January, it's insane that we've gone from having four strikers last year to having two now. A new striker, plus throwing Alcaraz or Keane into the pool of strikers and maybe we can afford to send Barry on loan in January to get him looking sharper. That one on one Vs Palace the other week that he fluffed out of nowhere was a red flag that this guy's not confident yet at a top level. Championship would be a good shout.

Alcaraz has'nt got the ability out on the wing. Would drift in and out the game from that position. Play Alcaraz right thru top middle leaving Ndiaye on the wing.

I'm genuinely beginning to feel that both are them are a clear waste of a spot on the field currently, certainly with the way that Moyes has us set up.

We are absolutely crying out to go 4-3-3 at this point and just bin both of them off to the bench, but you just know that Moyes will never see that..

Totally agree! Alcaraz front flat 3 with Jack and Illi each side.

A definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result!

Start Beto, sub him off and bring on Barry.
Start Barry, sub him off and bring on Beto.
Rinse and repeat time and time again. I think it’s one goal between them since the start of the season, clearly not good enough!
It’s like we are playing with 10 men from the start it’s that bad!
Yesterday Grealish started to show his frustration with Beto in particular (not a good sign!) and it can’t be long before one or two others do!
Surely it has to be worth having a go with Ndiaye (or even Alcaraz) through the middle, keep the ball on the floor and stop this hit and hope stuff 🥴!

Must admit, I'm at the stage where I agree with this. I think, we've now hit the point where both of them need leaving out for a bit. With us trying something different. I think the false 9 is our only option due to us having no other striker options.

Using a target man is about a lot more than just the strikers own skill set though. We don’t just knock balls forward because we have a big unit up top, we do it because we don’t have enough players who can play good incisive passes through the lines and who are comfortable getting the ball under pressure. None of the back 4 are particularly good on the ball, gana’s passing is hit and miss and garner is neat and tidy but not a lot more so we end up going longer because of that, we’d do the same whoever was up top (like we did when we had maupay there).

Never met Vardy but I imagine he'd be demanding on the upper end of our wages with not much return. He's only just scored for his new club I think and it's October.
