Barry Vs Beto

Who would you rather start?

They both lack the fundamentals of a centre forward. They never look to get hold of the ball and bring the midfield into play. Neither seem able to get away from a man. People can point to Barry's age, but we've just let another young player go to Rangers who was lacking so much to his game.

I’d give Braiden Graham a substitute space. He at least looks like a bit of a poacher might be more likely to play off the last defender a bit more. Beto and Barry don’t even look like scoring at the moment.

Don’t rate Barry yet not seen enough or see him with chances. That’s the thing this season neither have had great service so no wonder they look crap. Too many hoofed balls up to them. With more balls to feet, through balls and crosses then chances and goals will come but trying to walk the ball into the box and hope one of our strikers get on the end of a crap pass isn’t going to help

Has any other side in league got "it's either him, or him" options? And if so, are they both as crap as these two lads?

Surely a Premier League team ought to have 3-4 options up front? I think it's crystal clear that there were no real aspirations for the reason apart from stay up. If there were, we wouldn't have no right backs and two useless crabs up front.

Let's guess... Barry starts against Palace, then after he plays terrible it's Beto the next game and he'll again look like a Sunday league player.

At some point the manager must try a false 9 — it's the only other option.

Ndiaye.

We've got a forward 3 of players who are high level technically. The issue is we've got a focal point off them who aren't anywhere near good on the ball.

Beto is a bulldozer who wants balls over the top and to run on to. Barry looks more like someone who run channels and drop deep for the ball. Both want crosses. But neither are going to play one twos, keep the ball, be alive around the box.

End of the day we're not creating chances for a striker. We get to the final 3rd and there's no link up. Beto or Barry aren't missing sitters. I think its an issue of the type of striker to compliment the attacking players rather than a finisher.

Barry did nothing tonight, like I genuinely can't even remember him touching the ball. But it snot even necessarily his fault, we do not play to our strikers strengths.

Beto needs balls in behind, we aren't doing that. We don't know what Barry needs yet but it obviously wasn't what we did tonight

Yet many will say we had a good window...we have worst options at cf than last season, and significantly less options...I dont want to see Angus saying we had a solid window, and January is a difficult window...I want to see a rb and another striker early on in the window.
You are going to be sorely disappointed.
