Why do most people on this forum build him up to be next best thing? Sure, the kid has talent, but we have only seen random spurs of it. He may just end up to be another Rodwell. I'm not calling him off, but I think he is overrated.

Blame the club for that.

The players of the Everton squad - particularly Tim Cahill have said he is the most talented player they have played with in training.

How can you think he is overrated when we havnt seen him? Goes both ways. In the matches he has played, the majority of them he was our best player

Well we'll never know if he doesn't play.

We've been hearing from people in the know about him for years, and then in pre-season and the QPR game he looked the read deal. Then he went into the witness protection program after Blackburn.

For one thing he actually goes forward...and attacks down the middle (cue chorus). He's big, comfortable on the ball, and looks like he wants to score. In other words, he looks nothing like an Everton player.

From my perspective, many people claim that he is the solution to everything. Ridiculous...his only 18 correct?

He is attacking and has ambition, from what we have seen of him, he can do a good job for us. No one is claiming he is the solution to everything, but yes, he should play - as he looks like he could be better than the players we are playing now

When I've seen him play for the reserves and england he's looked like he's got the quality we've been missing in the Cahill position. I hope we see him soon, like, he has way more potential than Rodwell ever did imo. He bosses games in the lower levels, if he (unlike Rodwell) can do the same in the prem he'll be brilliant.

may as well sell him whilst people are biggin him up....one more serious injury could be the end of him...oh an if he was good enuf he would be playin...

The lad's got it. He gets on the ball and his first instinct is to hurt the opposition with a forward pass or to carry the ball and the fight to the heart of their defence. And he has the ability to do it. So what that he dipped slightly before returning to the academy fold. He's going to be a PL star.

WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE KNEES!
