It looks to me like Barkley is going to use this reputation he has and become the player everybody expects, where as Rodders didnt really shine with the pressure on him.

Hopefully with the spotlight on Barkley, Rodwell can slowly start becoming the player we all hope.

His main attributes are his natural strength, pace and, before his recent apparent dip in confidence, his composure beyond his years. I'm coming round to the idea of using the lad at center back, he just doesn't look like a midfielder at the moment.

I don't really buy that pointing out his potential versatility should be a detriment to the lad's confidence. Also, he's very rarely been played right-wing and never at center back for the first team, even for a 10 minute spell when someone's gone off injured.

If his confidence can't cope with being moved from a deep center mid to an advanced center mid and back again then I worry about his prospects in the game.
