A new year, another round of bank switching bonuses.

Never switched a bank account before?
You should consider it. It is one of the easiest and most efficient ways of earning a little beermoney. It is advised to leave your main bank account alone. Instead, switch a secondary bank account, or create a new one just for switching. Recommended steps:

Open a second current account with your main high street bank (must be part of CASS service)

Set up direct debits on the second account (if required).

Add £1 to your second account. This will be transferred to your new account, allowing you to see when the switch has been completed.

Apply for a new account and arrange to switch to your second bank account (sometimes this is during the application process, other times it is after the account is opened).

Let the current account switch service take care of everything.

Make sure all other terms are met (e.g. pay in money if needed).

Receive your bank switching bonus.

If somebody is looking for the easiest money you will ever make, they really should consider doing bank switches.

I made a LOT of money last year doing this and it came in clutch for what was a tough year all round, vote Labour.

Its VERY, VERY easy, all perfectly legal and the only downside is a minor hit to your credit rating due to some banks searching your credit history, the hit will go within 12months.

I get nothing in return, so im not trying to sell anybody anything, just pointing out a nice free source of funds in these trying times. Happy to answer any and all questions from those interested.

Current offers.

The co-op £125 offer died in December, as did the nationwide £200 reward.

I think now that some interest is back for customers of high street banks the days of the cash reward switch are numbered. Will jump on these asap. Thanks again.

This is a new co-op offer.

No referral needed this time, but if you got it last time, you wont get it this time.

They normally have a reset period of about 18months, but not many banks check and sometimes its worth just trying your luck again.

Been doing it for years.

If you're disciplined, keep track of what the T&Cs are you can get all sorts of interesting extras or high interest savings accounts in top of the switcg bribe.

For example, access to a 6.25% savings account and free Disney + for a year. Just have to make sure I transfer the minimum paying in requirement to the acc so I don't have to pay the £5/month fee. It goes straight back out (minus the savings).

Did it last yr. Super easy and a free £200, which doesn't hurt with the ridiculous state of the sevice charge on my flat rn. Check out Martin Lewis's site/newsletter. He always has stuff on the best/newest/about to end deals, and advice on how to get them etc etc.

Fyi, some will have requirements like you must have a certain number of direct debits, or a certain amount paid in within a certain timeframe, so may not work as a secondary account. But don't worry, everything is automated, so you#ll barely even have to tell anyone you've changed accounts, except for ppl you get to send you manually set up bank transfers/DDs.

Patiently awaiting the next switch deal i can access. Last one i was eligible for was Barclays a few months back. Have done every other bank over the last 2 years and made about £1,500 plus 6 free cinema tickets and 6 months of Disney plus.

Have a few family and friends doing them now. Easy money.
I do them for me and the Wife, getting a double dip is sweet as.

We hit lucky with our mortgage deal expiring, signed a new 5 year deal before I started.

Would love to but I assume this messes with your credit score?
Thats always peoples fear. Switching bank will not impact on how lenders view you . Doing it repeatably in quick succession may. But the key is to keep your main account with the same bank, don't switch that, and that will show as a positive on your credit file. Open dummy accounts for switching.

But do air on the side of caution if going for a mortgage in a few months.
