Bank borrowings

Player Valuation: £100m
How much have we actually borrowed ?

I understand there's a 25mil overdraft but what else have the club borrowed ?

As for the 4 players which Bill Kenwright says we 100% don't want to sell, Jags / Baines / Howard / Fellaini are they ALL untouchable ?

Honestly, if Yobo 3mil -- Yakubu 3mil -- Anichebe 3mil went I dont think anyone would care + our overdraft would be lowered to 16mil.

If, lets say 1 of Jags/Baines/Fellaini were sold + a young promising player was brought in to replace them with a profit of 16mil for us (clearing the overdraft) would anyone be up in arms ?

Personally, I think (and i've said it many times before) that the older players should ALL be sold and younger players brought in -- this would make us a tidy profit / lower the wage bill / shake things up a bit. Fringe players should also be sold off.....

I have no problem with this happening and would advocate it.

Only the Banks care about the overdraft.

I think our debts are around 90m, which includes a 30m loan secured against Season Ticket sales, probably got another Loan somewhere secured against Sky money and another secured against Premiership Prize money.

Considering our Chairmans words, im fairly sure we are up **** creek and we have just lost our paddle, the rain is lashing down and we just spotted a huge croc.

But no, your idea is utter crap.

Yes sell the deadwood, but nobody wants to buy it, cos its dead wood.

Selling first team players is not an option anymore, it was maybe possible in order to improve the squad, with money from sales going to buy new players, but even then I was against the idea, but selling players to pay the Bank is not on option, screw the Bank and screw them hard.

We will just have to hope our wonderful Board have a another solution to get us out of this mess.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I lold IRL writing that last sentence, then cried real tears.

Agendas all over the show.

People do want to buy our 'deadwood' though....anyway;

Yak
Yobo
Anichebe
Distin
Cahill
Arteta
Bilyaletdinov
Heitinga
Saha
Hibbert

These can ALL be sold, for some money, yes we'd need a handful of replacements but theres a potential 40 odd million there of which 25mil could clear the overdraft and 15mil could be used on replacements.

Yes we will probably finish mid table BUT it should be enough to rebuild our squad without paying the bank overdraft interest which can be a killer.

Im sorry I even bothered to reply to your first post.

Your a complete (insert word).

Serioulsy your a joke, you want to sell the entire first team to pay off the Bank, I would rather have Kenwrong than somebody like you.

Sell 10 players and only have 15m to bring in replacements just stop it FFS

We would be lucky to not go down

Anyway, you have clearly forgotten why you support Everton, its ok, I get that sometimes, whenever that happens I watch this.

Brings tears to my eyes everytime.

Hope it helps you, but I get the feeling some people are beyond that.

WOW. So far removed from reality. Your argument falls apart at the first two names on your list.

Yobo and Yakubu have been available to buy all summer. They can only be sold if someone wants to buy, and then the sale terms are dictated buy the buying party.

It seems as though we've accepted a £2m offer for Yobo and surprise, surprise the only sides interested in Yakubu are not able to meet his wage demands.

Posts like this make me angry. Be realistic, your proposed actions; despite the complete unfeasibility of them, would destroy the club. Who do you propose we replace them with IF (massive if there), they were to magically sold tomorrow?

Detach yourself from Football Manager and look at how football business is actually conducted.

As a famous ****e manager once said "people dont pay to watch money in the bank"

You have to ask that if we are in such dire straits where does the blame lie for getting us there? there wasnt much discussion on 'why'

Of course the other thing regularly asked for in the private industrial world is - "whats the plan to get us out of this mess" - and to quote another famous cliche, "Hope is not a strategy!"

That video actually made me feel a bit sad.

I kind of miss Lescott and Pienaar. And even Gosling, because despite being a gash player, he did score some boss goals for us. And of course, I miss Jo. I did a double-take at his goal in that vid!

:dodgy: There's only one problem with this idea. We would be relegated and so would lose about 90% of our income and disappear into oblivion. Apart from that it's grand.
