I hate the lot of if it, would much rather ignore it.

What's the worst Christmas you've had?

Tell us what you really hate about Christmas without the pressure of enforced jollity

Never had a bad Christmas. Bottom of the list would be the two Christmases I had in Singapore during National Service. We did our best to have a good time but 33C and 95% humidity doesn't provide much of a Christmassy atmosphere!

My family live on one side of the North American continent and I live on the other.

(Please don't tell them.)

That would be the year my parents split up on December 23rd and I, aged 17, had take my mother, sister (13), and brother (10) and all the Christmas presents to my Nans in Liverpool so my mother could fall to pieces(and avoid imminent arrest as she had broken my dad’s ‘fancy woman’’ nose.

It may surprise some but I'm quite fond of Christmas.... apart from the whole gift giving armageddon its become.

The grubs great, the booze is great and spring is coming. Soon it will be time to sow our grain, greet the sun and make plans for surviving another year.

I was dreading last Christmas in the months leading up to it, it was the first one on my own and I'm glad I caught that bug as it kept me in bed for most of it. This year I'm just numb to it and would have loved nothing more than to have a family of my own doing all the festive things and just enjoying it. I've been a bit envious seeing all the happy couples and families in the shops but I'm happy for them and hope they all realise just how wealthy they are. Tomorrow is just another day for me but I hope next year I'll be enjoying it with someone.

May next year bring you good things.
