They were all under our Ex, none of them signed by RM.
Martinez wanted to sign Stones but Moyes got him because Ebepton.

Martinez convinced the likes of Lukaku to join us & got a lad from Barcelona for peanuts.

That should be enough to show he knows what he's doing imo!

He has signed Alcaraz and Kone twice.

Alcaraz was easily Wigans best defender whilst he played can ask any Wigan fan, and Kone literally took the piss out of us & bossed it when he played against us.

Just turned out Alcaraz was a bit like a deer in headlights, and Kone was unfortunate to suffer such a bad injury straight after Ramadan when he joined us - that has killed his career effectively.

He took the decision to sign both those players for Everton, along with Aiden McGeady, and all three have either been a disaster or, barring a near miracle, will ultimately end up being a disaster.

Martinez has a huge question mark over him regarding transfers. He's the anti-Moyes - he's got the big money ones right in McCarthy and Lukaku, whilst getting the bargain buys generally wrong. You could probably get away with that at Manchester City; not at Everton.

So no credit for Besic, Deu, and the Clev for peanuts?

Hmmm, I think that's a little unfair in terms of the Kone situation. It's not like he was an injury prone player? (As far as I'm aware) but he got injured badly and it has affected him.

Alcaraz was poop, fair.

I wanted mcgeany, especially on a free based on my celtic fan friends opinion. On a free /1mil it didn't really hurt us, feel like we could flog him for 2-4mil to west Brom or something like that, maybe a championship team.

The metro ...... been selling our players to other clubs all summer based on nothing but utter bs.
they havent said a decent word about us.
Biggest scum of the summer imo - any decent everton fan should avoid the metro.
don't know anyone who buys it to be honest

Besic - nope, none at all yet, he hasn't proven to be good or bad, so I'm neither criticising or praising him for it.

Actually, same for all three.
Well he could have gotten Robby Brady for about the same fee as he paid for the three combined so that's a positive in my book.

I doubt that even Moyes could again duplicate his success at everton in the 6M and under transfer market. Its beyond absurd the number of excellent players he got for little money. Roberto has done alright and might have learned his mistake signing olds (probably his biggest problem). Rom, McCarthy are big hits. He's worked the loan market well. Yes he missed on a few but at the time they seemed like good moves. Barry had just come off a great season and didn't appear to be the kind of player who would suffer a lot if he lost a step or two. McGeady didn't cost much. Alcaraz was OK at Wigan and not really brought in to start. Wigan were quite fun to watch after Kone arrived and were scoring goals for fun (just gave up goals for fun too which got them relegated).

Erm, Ok at Wigan is very different to being OK at Everton.
