In all fairness here you don't get your xmas presents in November. Just be patient for a little longer it's a domino effect of other clubs / players moving and then the chain begins. Judge Sept 1.

I do if it meant we could get someone for half the price of similar ability and spend the extra on another player. We don't have an endless pot of money. There must be a reason that no one else wants Witsel for anywhere near what we are offering?!

The conspiracist in me wonders if Witsel is hoping we pull out so Zenit accept one of the Italian bids just to get shut of him.

Think we just keep our offer on the table till 31 Aug to force his hand but then what's the point of having someone who see us as the last resort. I know he is much better than what we have but still...

This is the most boring biggest transfer we have ever had.

He signs and we get a boss midfielder. But it's gone on so long that I don't really care if he does now. Least this Gueye fella is a fairly recent thing. Drag him on and he can stay at villa.

Just want to sign a player who we have not been given a months heads up on tbh
