Show her the fuel bills and point out it could be getting spent on other stuff.

I don't get the It's My Money Bit, we've never done that as we are in a relationship together so everything is shared. Your obviously swimming in the stuff though if her money can fund a 4wd so disregard the fuel bit.
 
Had a Merc Ml 350, luxury finish. Comfy car, good in snow & ice. Wouldn't use it as an off roader. Not good wading ( which killed mine ). I would consider it if the price was right.
