After the United game, Moyes once more bemoaned our impotence in front of goal and said that the only way to fix the problem is to spend money. I disagree.

Fulham have found the net 10 times at Craven Cottage. That's as many as Spurs.

Norwich have scored 9 league goals at Carrow Road. The same number of home goals as Arsenal.

Sunderland have also recorded 9 strikes at the Stadium of Light.

Swansea have 8 home Premiership goals. Exactly the same amount as Newcastle and Liverpool.

Have any of those teams outspent us on strikers? No. Do they have better players than us? No. They're prepared to have a go at the opposition though and they make the most of what they've got. In stark contrast, we're slow, predictable and we don't commit men forward when we're attacking.

He always did look good in blue...

We've only 1 creative outlet...Osman. He gets shunted to the wings.

Other than that...we dont have a Modric, Van Der Vaart, Silva, Nasri, Arteta, Ramsey, Cleverly, Young, Cabeye etc etc that can open up doors.

The spine is wrong. Whilst most go - Centre Half, DM, CM, AM/Strikers... We go, centre half, 2 DM's and no creative CM/AM or Tim Cahill with a striker.

It doesnt work unless you start playing Bilya, Barkley or Osman in CM/AM roles.

All the teams you mentioned spent more than we did this Summer.

Its not just Strikers that score goals, its not just Strikers that create goals.

If your gonna post agenda filled rubbish, at least provide it with substance.

Fulham, Norwich, Sunderland and Swansea don't have a Van der Vaart or Modric, but they're still keeping pace with the big guns in terms of goals. We scored those two late goals against United last year by getting men in the box, which is all the teams that I've mentioned really do. We're too cautious and we still concede anyway, so we might as well go for it a bit more.

How much did we pay for Saha, Vellios and do we have another striker?
Saha - pay as you play - Vellios - 250k

And how much did those other guys pay for their strike force?
Fulham - Johnson - 10m - Zamora 5m - Ruiz 10m
Sunderland - Gyan - 13m - Campbell - 3m - Dong 2m - Wickham - 8m

The other two are just having purple patches and will be struggling after too long.

They might have spent more than us this summer but the value of their teams will still be less than ours. I don't disagree that midfielders contribute to goals scored. None of the teams that I've mentioned have an out and out goalscorer. It's been done collectively.

What is my agenda? Teams are capable of scoring in the Premier League without spending millions on 'special' players, if they get their tactics right. Fact!

We got Saha cheap because of his injury record. It didn't reflect his true value. How much did we spend on Yakubu? What was Beckford worth? Norwich and Swansea could argue that they're paupers, but we've had pretty much the same as our rivals to spend. Can you even really count Wickham and Ruiz, as they've played very little? And Gyan isn't at Sunderland this season.

In any case, the goals have been spread around those teams.
