Atmosphere at Goodison

I'd happily move to the singing area of the Gwladys street next season if we can get enough people doing this, it would be class
You could easily get more than 20-30 if you went on twitter.

GT8 though? GT4 is perfect for it. Would you actually hear them if they are stuffed at the back of GT8

Good point mate, you're right. I've e-mailed Alan Myers about it and he said 'some very good points, thank you.'
People will come back and say 'We don't need it. We have only been beat a couple of times (don't know the exact number?) in about 2 seasons at Goodison.) The atmosphere gives the players a huge boost. Look at Distin, he went on twitter a while back to say something about it. So the players obviously know it is bad.

What did you say to Mr Myers?

It was after the Norwich game when I was angry about how awful the atmosphere had been all season and I went on a massive rant to him saying how it would help the players and how it would be better for the club etc. think he feels the same way just hope he does something

Distin actually said after we played West Ham last season I think he said 'Why can't the atmosphere be like that every game?'

West Ham atmosphere was superb.

I sit in GT4 and I've got mates who sit further back in row KK. They stand all game and get most of our chants going. Along row KK and other rows like LL and MM I'm not sure these seats are occupied with STH's? This is the ideal place to get this going as it will spread throughout the Gwladys. I try and get songs going myself but people around me are just "match goers" with season tickets, most of them never even bothered with the cup games and I've seen none of them at the aways so getting an atmosphere going probably doesn't matter much to them but they occasionally join in when it gets loud enough.

As we all know, atmosphere dies when we sit down and the only reason we sit down is because the person in front does. You can't really put your hands up when you're sitting, it just doesn't feel right. We have to keep everyone standing but it's getting that message across.

Do you know anyone that sits at the front of the Gwladys that can basically stand? If a couple people stand then it's gonna spread right to the back and maybe the message will spread that way. Just a suggestion.
To create a good atmosphere we have to start off brightly. Singin before kick off is needed, hopefully that will inspire some people and could get them standing. I don't believe we sing every second of the match because then it sounds forced but we want to create an intimidating stand. Imagine how it would look to the opposition if everyone was stood and up for it. Get behind the team with roars and moans. When a song starts we all join in.

I'm telling you all now that when people walk out that ground at 4:50 they will think "how boss was the atmosphere today! I need to buy a ticket for the next one!"

You've got me excited there mate. I hate the people around me who sit down and try and sing it makes me want to punch them, I think we can get something going in the Gwladys we just need enough people. Are you going to Chelsea?

As I've said to other fan I think few should arrange a meeting with Alan Myers with the clubs support you could get 300 supporters in there rather than 30. I think it's an issue of confidence in the derby we stand up at the back for the 90 minutes, in the FA cup game against Liverpool in 2009 I was on row L and stood up the whole match. There are obviously fans who want to stand they are just worried about the fan behind them telling them to sit down.

I would prefer if people waited for the club to officially introduce safe standing before people just start standing at home games

The main reason for this is because not everyone may be on board with it in a certain area. Imagine if your elderley and everyone around you decides that from now on they're going to stand for the match. You might not be capable of standing for a full 90 minutes, so you've got two choices
1. Miss the match
2. Ask everyone around you to sit down, which likely wont end well

If the club brought in safe standing in a particular area, you would know to make sure you say elsewhere and if your season ticket was in that area, the club could move you to a more suitable area

It's great that a lot of lads want to add more atmos to the ground, but it's imperative that those same people also have their fellow supporters in mind

It's better for people to create fan led groups to petition the club and the FA to bring in a standing section, while also getting organised and arrange singing sections in the seated areas

I know it's not as easy to get a sing song going when you're sitting down, but I think that would be the best course of action for the immediate future, up until a time where standing can be introduced

Just my opinion anyway. I tip my hat to the people who want to improve the match atmos. It really does help the players when Goodison is rocking, be it with positivity or anger

There you wish there is a way! Be willing to develop, let the younger organize and incite fan base to develop! Everton need serious and real support 90 min! Not only 10! New songs, more flags and banners in the stadium! And for all those who hate me here I want to tell you that I love Everton more than everything ! COYB
