atmosphere at Goodison is awful.

I care more about Kone's hair colour than I do about Goodison's 'atmosphere' - which, incidentally, is no worse or better than anyone else's in the Prem.

Until they start giving out points for singing, can't say I'm at all bothered.

I'm afraid that just isn't true.

I'd say it is has one of the best atmosphere's on its good days, but for the majority of the time, it has one of the worst atmosphere's in the premiership, almost complete silence for near enough 90 minutes.

i think villa should be pleased we didn't encourage the team during the match. imagine the score if anyone was remotely up for it.

I've never been to a match at Goodison and heard absolute silence, where do you sit?

I've sat all over the place at Goodison, and I have experienced long periods of near absolute silence. Obviously you will have people discussing the game near you, and a number of collective groans throughout the match, but other than that, the silence is only broken by a few chants that are very short in duration. If you were to break it up into percentages, the time spent singing within a 90 minute match would be considered negligible in some matches. Villa the other day was an example of that.

When we create an atmosphere it struggles to be beaten imo, that doesn't negate the fact that we are extremely quiet for the majority of the time.

Its always been the same. If we play a team we are expecting to beat then the team has to get the fans going. We only get atmosphere when we are the underdog or if decisions go against us. When we play against so called lesser teams then all you will hear are groans if its not going well or purring if it is. Against the better teams if we are playing well then Goodison Park is one of the most atmospheric grounds in the country. I have to admit that our away support has now upped there game with the new and retro songs and we are fast becoming the best away supporters in the country. Palace are like Chelsea of old when they used to sing boring 1 man and his dog.

Not sure if it's open at weekends but this is the only place in Liverpool that offers no stop singing

When we are hard done by or the underdogs then we are as loud as anybody else in the footballing world. Villa was a pretty well controlled game with alot of the Martinez short passing game, it can get boring but if boring wins us a game 3-0 when it was much needed, then im all for it.

The atmosphere is deffo [Poor language removed]. People who decide to get season tickets in the gwladys for their toddlers are the reason.

The gwladys should be full of half cut scousers but lately its occupied by families looking for a nice day out.

You can argue either way whether that's a good/bad thing but its definitely the source of the shitty atmosphere when the crowd is completely gentrified.

Dont even get me started about the mass exodus on 80 minutes that happens every game now...
