I like Stan.

I think the Europa League has been fantastic. Its a better competition than the CL, more obscure euro teams, ace obscure places to visit away, better games and some fantastic underrated players.

Not like the same CL teams every year, G16 crap, same old same old, with teams who look after each other.
 

Very good first half.

My Sporting seemed not to have returned from half time.

Matias went out and we never had the ball again or ever more.

Congratulations to Bilbao. Today they were the better team overall.
 
Hard lines Santos. Had some scary moments there. Entertaining game for the neutrals. Great performance from Llorente. Two fine assists and a late winner.

Atletico in the final. Won 1-0 to finish off Valencia. Great goal by Adrian. Should be a tasty final. Come on Athletic!!!

The first half was a quality match. After Bilbao's goal Sporting went up and they made the ticket price worthwhile. Shocking mistake by João Pereira led to Athletic's second.

Sporting in the second half was poor. The worst performance I can remember this season and believe me I've seen some lousy ones this season. Athletic was the clear better team in that period and overall.

Another mistake by João Pereira put us out of the final. Or at least avoided extra time which was something that both teams had settled for by that time.

Congratulations to you and all the basques who support Athletic. It was a good tie.

Football took it's course.

Let's just hope Everton can be upthere in the near future.
