Silva's subs are gash.

Silva has the same flaw as Martinez’s and koeman had, when we go behind they can’t fix it, it’s happened time and t8 e again. A lot of the time if we concede first we lose.

They all got it badly wrong today.

Picking Schneiderlin and Gomes together just won't work. No pace or bite in that midfield.

For Silva to then stupidly go to a 4-4-2, but not bring Davies on to actually have a midfielder who drives forward, is equally as poor. Crap from all of them.

Iwobi looked bright and was unlucky. Walcott's miss just shows how short we are still in reserve.

I think 4-4-2 was the right call... hit the post and walcott should've slotted

Gosh that was really bad.

Centre Mid was really poor tonight. Gomes at least you can see is a player, but Schneiderlin was terribly bad, he'll be disappointed there.

Looked better when switched to 442, Iwobi and Kean looking good.

Didn't really have the answers to a team sitting back then counter attacking. It wouldn't have mattered had there been some good CM play from Everton things wouldn't have gone so badly, but they did look dozy re Villa fast free kicks and diving.

All those records down the toilet re greaalish etc, Everton that.

I thought Iwobi looked decent. That’s pretty much the only positive I can take from this match. Sigurdsson, Calvert Lewin and Richarlison need to spend some time on the bench. Gomes stunk the place out too.

At the end of the day the lad is cack.

I'm sick to death of the same boring vanilla performances, and his gang of defence lawyers constantly masking woeful to average football with useless stats and single chosen pieces of play, over and over again.

That was painfully Everton our players looked gutless like they just expected to win. Stroking it around nicely but no urgency or cutting edge. Very poor.

Thank you Everton for making me realise it was all just a new dawn of false hope and broken promises. AGAIN!!!

I guess it will never change, why do I allow myself to actually get excited about a new season? Should know better after almost 35 years as an Evertonian.
