this is going to be a quality tournament. opening game ended 1-1 last night between thailand and iraq. it was a good open game.

tim plays tonight.

shame all koreas players are injured! i predict a aussie iran final/winner.

the j league just finished last week. all the players are exhausted. 1 week prep with the squad not ideal before a tournament.

the japanese are very good in this tournament. i think it will be a middle eastern team that wins this time though.

i'll go for iran.

china won 5-1 last night against a not too shabby malaysia team. li tie and lie wei feng both played.

terrible result for korea. a 2-1 defeat last night means they have to rely on other results to go through. shocks are good for tournaments but if korea and australia go out in the group stage, i'm not sure it's good for the tournament as a whole. i hope they both have a slice of luck and go through.

korea made it through after winning 1-0 and the saudis winning 4-0.

hopefully we can see some football from them now. as a side note.. lee chun soo played a blinder. this was the game i think where reading will decide to sign him. i'll bump this post when they do!!!

I only the Japan vs vietnam one because it was a day otherwise I'm at work at the time and miss them all.
