Great point, mate. At the end of the day they’re our club and we want and need them to be successful. I just long for a time when we don’t have to discuss whether or not to keep players like him and Young because we’re a stronger side with real depth.

Like I said earlier, I want to be like a top 6 club where no matter who we sell we’re making big profits and getting better. I like Young, too. But top clubs aren’t even entertaining the scenario of whether to retain a 40 year old defender. A lot of that for us was mismanagement and PSR. Moving forward, we have to expect and demand more. I think we’re starting that journey this summer.
