Dejan79

Player Valuation: £750k
Seens as though there both going to have cost the same (thats if arsenal do get him for the reported 15m)

Now that fellaini's all settled in and looking rather spiffing in our midfield, does anyone regret that we didn't blow our load on the Russian playmaker ?

Answers on a stamped addressed post card please :dodgy:

I'm glad we went for Fellaini, hes a lot younger than Arshavin and can only get better in my opinion. Arshavin is good but I just remember the way he bottled it in the big game in the European Championship last year for Russia (I think it was against Spain), looked pretty anonymous that game as I remember. Also, £15m is a bit much for a 28 year old for me

i agree , he did go missing in a big game think thats why Barca colled their intrest, and with felli being so young it also has potential to make Everton money should we sell him in five years time. Hope he satys long term though

fellaini had no hesitation in joining us, didn't have to think about it, didn't try to get more out of us, didn't try to get a bigger club interested, has a great head of hair and i reckon could grow a great beard 'tache combo.

none of the above can be said about bumfluff face arseshavin.

big mo is the man.

Arshavin will want 70k a week, Fellaini is on about 30k a week, Arshavin is a sulky prima-donna, Fellaini is an up and coming young player who wants to learn the game.

But as Cal says, you cant really compare them.

Can't really judge until we see Arshavin performing in this league i suppose, will be interesting to see how he does.

How the christ can anyone compare them?

Jesus.

I think that's how! :P:lol:

Altho, seeing as Fel's supposed initial fee is much less than that i guess that point is moot anyhow! Just think if we had a decent investor on board we could have had both!?! :stir:

Damnit no stir smiley? Oh well :stick:

I'm backing you Cal.

There is no point doing this sort of questions. They're different players and serve different purposes.

I'm glad Fellaini is doing well. But he was shitty piece of business, to be honest.

Signed as a panic buy in the last day of the transfer window... I think Moyes was held for ransom.

Two totally different players, but think Fellaini is much more suited to our style of play, just like Arshavin probaly is more suited to the Gunners style.

Arshavin is good but I just remember the way he bottled it in the big game in the European Championship last year for Russia (I think it was against Spain), looked pretty anonymous that game as I remember.
Destroyed the Dutch almost on his own though.

Nobody knows how much Fellaini cost, Pat Nevin alluded to this by stating that the 15 million pound figure is infact an 'alleged' 15 million pound within a recent article.

When first reported the figure was 12million, this suddenly changed to 15million. Different sources report different figures.
