Not really that arsed about the badge grabbing. He's not a blue.

His play acting to stop our attack got right on my man boobs though. With luck, he'll get a proper injury soon and everyone will ignore him.

I wouldn't even boo him when comes back to Goodison. Don't clap him if takes a corner i feel this will piss him off more than everyboby reacting to badge grabbing and lying on the floor waving his arms tactics. Everton need to get back to making sides scared to play us like before the turn of the year. COYB

He supports Sociedad and played for Everton and now plays for Arsenal. If you think he loves either club then you're totally wrong. Players do stuff in the heat of the moment.
Classy thing to do was OBVIOUSLY not celebrate, heat of the moment? It was a pen, he had plenty of time to think about it.

That's his prerogative though, it's mine to think less of him for it.

Not celebrating shows disrespect to his own fans though

Great player, streets ahead of that gobshite with the perm that people were raving about last year. We were had off in selling him for just 10 million.

His behaviour yesterday annoyed me, but it's football and the best players are competitive, all this rainbow warrior nonsense gets you nowhere. We need a player like Arteta yesterday.

He was our only creative player for years and to my knowledge hasn't slagged us off since going so showing the gooners he's with them not us seems fair enough.

Remember he's a replacement for Fabregas (and nowhere near as good) so it can't be easy at arsenal.

swearing and inappropriate behaviour
You're all (deleted) if you still even like him in the slightest. Good player for us, but never actually won anything. Elbowing Cahill on his first return back at Goodison and yesterday asking us to put the ball out when his boot was off, telling Ox-Chamberlaine to slow down when going off and actually stopping him at one point, and holding the badge when he scored.

Didn't like it at the time when he scored, but I'm not arsed really. Don't like players who don't celebrate when they score against their old club.

I'm sure he still loves us.

He Deffo knows how to get free kicks, pity he still wasn't plaing for us with us having ace dead ball players like Kevin and Leighton.

Exactly. He's an Arsenal player and put them into the FA Cup semi, of course he's going to celebrate

Not arsed about him celebrating.

Was arsed about his blatant cheating/gamesmanship by sitting on the floor with his boot off, thus breaking up one of our attacks and momentum. I would have been arsed if it was any Arsenal player - that it was Arteta does kind of make it slightly worse.

When you grab the badge after scoring against your old club even though you get a good reception from the fans, you are an utter snide.

This.....absolutely.

I don't mind the bugger celebrating scoring against us per se.....it's just when I look at how Danny Graham and Jonjo Shelvey refused to "celebrate" when they scored against Swansea and the RS respectively I wonder why I should hold the residual affection I held for Arteta but which ended yesterday.

I for one will treat him with hostility when he returns here in a couple weeks.

And I wish Baines had played on when Clattenburg ignored the little bugger's playacting on the halfway line and waved him on.
