Arteta Staying, Between The Lines I Read...

The great football we saw last season, with Peanuts, Arteta and Osman, add in this Moutinho and get Cahill back and its looking good.

I know I'm being optimistic, but I really have a good feeling about this one.
 

We all knew he was staying anyway, It's a shame he has to continually repeat himself. He loves it here and is currently the best midfielder on our books. A loyal player, a great lad and an excellent footballer. Our midfield next season:

Hope you're right.. I'd love the way our midfield would shape up with Moutinho and perhaps Topol or 1-2 more. :)
 

Oh yeah, i was'nt disagreeing with you mate. It looks a good line-up on paper, the hard thing is to make it a reallity. Come on Moysey, get a move on lad!

Tbh, that formation, well specifically Cahill behind Yak worked really well last year imo. It can only get stronger and more consistent with the players he mentioned. b)

looks good to me too. m'bia could be topol or any other international defensive midfielder.

i am not the greatest fan of 4-5-1 but it suits our team. and when you've got goals in the midfield who cares if you play one up front.

About 80% of the time Cahill plays you may aswell class him as a Shadow Striker.
 

Moutinho coming will finally give us a midfielder who can dictate the pace of games and control possession. We've never had that before, Arteta and Manny did it is occasionly but where never able to do it consistently. Ossie wasn't really that type of players so he couldn't either.

Moutinho coming in will get the best out of players like Pienaar and Arteta. He keeps things ticking, demands the ball and can bring them into the game in dangerous positions. With this I'm hoping we'll see a Arteta we've never seen before. If Moutinho can link with him and get him into dangerous positions he'll be alot more effective.
 
You guys will probably shoot me down for this but damn I would also like to see the likes of Manny and Arshavin in that midfield. Even if we spend the rest of our budget on Manny, Arshavin & Mbia dont you think that midfield will be cooking...? What you guys think?

We won't be able to afford Arshavin, and why should we be held to ransom? He's no Maradona, and he's too old for that kind of fee.
