I absolutely hate the fact that he's gone and I'll feel a bit sick when I see him pull on an Arsenal shirt, but a small part of me feels he deserves his big move and is happy for him. I don't know whether he wanted to leave or not but if he did I don't suppose we can blame him for taking such a great opportunity. What concerns me now is how we are going to string any passes together in the midfield? Back to long ball I guess.
 
Best Wishes Mikel and I am gutted, you weer by far my favourite player, someone we could pin hope on, yes you couldnt take a corner and you have no pace now, or ever actually, but just knowing you were there keeping the ball is a big miss.
 
I think he would admit he hasnt been on form for some time. The time was right for him to leave and for us to cash in.
Wish you well Micky and will always give you a clap when you come back to visit.
 
Good luck to Mikel. He deserves his chance to shine in the CL, just a shame he went to a team with 0 chance of winning it.
He's been a great servent to the club but as other people have said, he is nearly 30, been off his game for 2 years and been injured alot. 10 mil isnt bad especially if it keeps the club above water. Next year he probably be worth less as he'll be 31.

Finding it difficult to express how I feel.

The best I can do is; I like Arteta. He's been stinking the place out, but he sort of symbolised our football club. One of the stanchions of Everton in recent times. I'm sad to see him go.


I'm more concerned about the timing of the sale than the sale. Far too late to even think about getting anyone in. No one's kidding themselves, we are not going to see any of the money from this transfer window. We've made nearly £20m from player sales, and not a single penny has been reinvested. I'm fairly sure this is something that we were promised would never happen. It has happened, and i'm really not happy. Well, actually, before I wasn't exactly happy. I'm now somewhere between fuming and livid.


Poor attempt to explain anything really. But if heads dont roll over this, I wont be best pleased.


Worrying times to be an Evertonian. Let's hope the team gives us something to cheer about this season.
