Arteta "It was a s*** decision"

We all have the benefit of the TV cameras to show replay after replay, but the ref had to go on his angle, and the fact that it looked like Arteta had elbowed him in the face. Add to that Fabregas rolling around like he had just had a leg blown off by a land-mine (now compare that to Arteta's reaction when he actually got elbowed in the face playing Bolton, with a mouth full of blood. No rolling around, just touching the lip as if to say 'Bloody hell, he busted my lip open')

So are we to assume that referees are now basing their decisions on possibilities rather than actual facts? Surely if you don't see an action take place you can't make a decision based on your observations? You wouldn't get a referee awarding a goal if they didn't see the ball cross the line, or at least I presume you wouldn't, so why would they do so for so called violent conduct?

Because the ref saw Artetas' arm in Fabregas' face and believed it was an intentional elbow. I believe he was behind the play so from his view would of seen Mikels arm swing into the face of Fabregas.

Yes we know from replays that it was more than likely just 2 players tussling for the ball and Mikel accidently caught Fabregas in the face. But his arm shouldn't of been there in the first place.

It was harsh and Fabregas made it way worse than it actually was but the ref must of seen it as an intentional elbow and i can understand why.

IF the ref had any decency after seeing replays he would have changed the card to yellow but I think theres a law that clearly states you have to be one of this so called big four for that to happen
