Hi RadioFriendlyUnitShifter.

Did you know, the song that is your name, was originally going to be called 'Nine Month Media Blackout'?

Those were the days!

He's been awful this season.

Shame, when he first came into the league and scored 4 at Anfield I wanted to kiss him on the mouth.

wasn't he still arsenals top assister even though he was **** this year?

Second after Fabregas...still pretty decent like. Same as Baines in fact.

Oops, I was going on league stats!

I did mate. I don't remember said days unfortunately (I think I was about 1-12 months old!) but yeah, there's a good reason I picked that song for my username! :)

I still love him, like. He's always dead funny in interviews, and anyone who puts 4 past the RS at Analfield is forever an ace guy.

But honestly, as Silas said, if we're going to splash big money on someone* old go for LD. He'll offer us something different. Arshavin has so many parallels to Bily, and unfortunately they're not good parallels.

*we're not

On his day he's a fantastic player, but he said when he went to Arsenal that he saw them as a stepping stone to Barcelona. So, I couldn't see him wanting to come to us. Anyway, he's too old, too expensive, too small and he doesn't have the Moyes work ethic.

i dont know why but im expecting a bid from arsenal for fellaini or jagielka . cash + arshavin.

just no.id have arshavin but wouldnt loose felli or jags for any less than 35 and 20 million.

Sorry but not long ago Arshavin was on his way to establishing himself as one of the world's best, he's not had a great season but he's still a class player that will go to a top club in europe if anywhere, i'd be over the moon if he signed for us.

He got his britches all steamed because of the tax rate when he moved to Arsenal and taking home less than he was in Russia, and there was all the fuss about wanting to go to Barcelona. That aside what has he managed this season? Nasri was the stand out midfielder for them.

Quite. Comparisons between him and Bily are insane. The two don't merit mention in the same breath. Asharvin is top drawer, and if rumours of Nasri leaving are true then I can't see him going as well.

Seconded. Arshavin with Arteta (who has played **** all season but might up his game with a player like Arshavin around) etc. would be sublime and he's precisely the sort of player we need. Especially in this ridiculous 4-5-1 crap that Moyes insists on playing instead of going for it in a 4-4-2.

Should have tried to grab him from Zenit after we played them.

Too late now.

Move on.

Why is it too late? The simple fact is that it's not. Who would have thought Michael Owen would have joined Man Utd, injury prone and past it? 30 is not 34 and Arshavin is quality. Donovan is also 29/30 but I would not object to us spending £7m on him and making him a fixture on the right-wing. We spent £15m on Fellaini but whether he's 22 or 28 we won't be getting £15m back for him, regardless of what the papers say or what some naive fans believe. We also spent £5m on Distin because the situation merited it. I'd love it if we showed some ambition and creativity by showing desire to sign Arshavin!

1 -- So you want to spend a fortune on a player with no resale value

2 -- You don't think Fellaini is worth 15mil

3 -- You think its ambitious to sign older players

4 - -You seem to think signing Owen was an Alex Ferguson masterstroke

Have I got that right ?
