Hello!

Last few days I've been dreaming that Moyes ditches Billy for about £5/6m or hopefully more and goes for Arshavin.

Surprisingly, Arshavin fell out of favour at Arsenal amid accusations of him letting the team down. I can't see massive teams right now, such as Barcelona or Man Utd going in for him. His stock has fallen. But I believe he could play for any team because he's that good.

He's 30 years old now, but I would love it if we were in for a player like him. £8m-£10m might be enough to get Arsenal to sell. Him moving from the Emirates is really on the cards.

Imagine Arhsavin behind Beckford or another, or on the left side of midfield. I know I'm dreaming but would love it if Moyes went for him.

Arshavin is certainly more talented than Pienaar, and although he's 30, 2/3 seasons with him helping us cement ourselves in the top 5 could be good. I really admire his footballing ability.

Let the 'you're crazy, he's not a Moyes player'/'we have no money' replies begin!

Regards,

Crazy [Poor language removed].

From what I've seen at Arsenal, He's exactly like Billy. Not in the way they play but when they're on form, totally amazing and can create something from... Nothing. I'd still like to keep Billy if I am being honest, but I think he's probably played his last game for us. I really liked him aswell.

Would be getting better offers, couldn't aford wages, to old ect, ect. But dont get me wrong I would love him if he was free and wanted 30k a week.

Not that I should be the one throwing this stone, but he looked completely out of shape this season, fat.

There's no chance he's coming here, so not much to discuss.

Too lazy and goes missing exactly the same faults as our own russian. We can't carry a player who might have 1 good game in 4 and as has been stated, 8-10mil for a 30 year old, no thanks, besides we need other areas strengthening first, i.e a good striker, RB and a winger with pace arshavin is none of the above so no thanks.

Hi ToffeeBlueNose.

Moyes has Hibbert, Neville, Coleman and even Jagielka and Heitinga for right-back so I doubt very much we'll be signing a first-team right-back this summer! Distin is our only real cover for Baines, so I think a left-back is more likely, though if we sign one, I'm sure Man City will be readying a £24m+ bid for Baines. Arshavin would be an ideal signing for me, regardless of his lack of out and out winger qualities. Goodison Park would be a much happier place with Arshavin around, who I rate as World-Class.

Hi mate,

sorry don't agree, he isn't world class, he had maybe 2 good seasons and been very average apart from that. we do need a RB, Hibbo is not good enough, Pip is gettin on, coleman has yet too show that he can play RB and jags n Jonny are not really goin to be used RB unless an emergency. We need cover for Baines i accept that. Still no on Andrei for me, he would add to the squad but not enough.

Moyes was an admirer of Arshavin for years before he went to Arsenal wasn't he? He's part of the same lineage of class players Moyes missed out on before they were massive as Essien, Dzeko and Hazard.

Don't think he'd be very motivated playing for us, since he only seldom seems bothered about playing for Arsenal. We should be looking at younger targets.

Get rid of one inconsistent Russian for another?

To be fair I'd rather have the younger one with the cracking left foot.

You may be right Gwladys. What you said reminded me about reading an interview with Moyes in which he confirmed that he wanted to sign Dirk Kuyt and make him our first £10m+ player. Just found the link but can't post it as I don't have 20 posts here yet.

"We offered £10m for Dirk Kuyt at Feyenoord on 1 August, so people who say we haven't been competing for players are wrong. I just do my business quietly rather than in public," said Moyes yesterday.

I bet Moyes is itching to make those sorts of bids again! I don't rate Dzeko that highly, or Kuyt, but if it's true he wanted Essien I'm mightily impressed.

Same as.
