Really not bothered about it at all. I mean, I guess if their countries are winning things it looks good on us, but none of our players represent any countries that win big trophies and competitions. At the end of the day I'd rather our players avoided injury and simply return to Everton in good shape; I'm more bothered about that than them shining on the international stage.

It's a feather in our cap when we see all our first teamers involved in international football and I suppose it enhances their selling value.

I don't mind international football, when It is a competitive game. Friendlies midseason are just absolutely pointless and need to be binned

If we didn't have any first teamers playing in internationals then I'd be more worried!!

As for it being a positive/negative, in my view it all depends if we aren't playing well or that player is not in the first 11 at Everton then can only be a positive to be in a different environment and hopefully get a bit of confidence/game time that way.

The worst thing is obviously getting injured and times the fume by 10 if it's just a pointless friendly.

I would say though the ACON's need to be binned right off. One month off mid season, you got to be joking...
