Exhonerating yourself for toxic behaviour that impacts negatively on the team is the problem Im trying to debate here.

I've honestly never booed either the team or our own individual players at Goodison, if we spent half as much energy into making the opposition uncomfortable as we do our own team we might actually help them improve.

We have been brainwashed into accepting 'compete for top 4' as good enough. We need to rid ourselves of Koeman, the board and this mentality.

It is a sad reflection that circumstances have allowed this to engender itself throughout the club, a winning mentality is an important part of what separates the great teams from the also rans, I was thinking when Moshiri came in that that would all change, I was also made up when RonKo first came here, unfortunately the rot has now set in and we are hitting the same toxicity levels as when Martinez was here, the manager may change but I think the Mosh/Bill combo are a typically arrogant hierarchy that may be the constant for a few years yet.

Two other things we need to drop as a fan base and club:

1. Blue collar mentality... we fawn over the likes of the Straqs and gag at the site of the Barkleys. People complain about the lack of flair players, but we tend to drive them out of the club. Yes, you need a bit of industry in the team, but you also need a bit of skill.

2. We need to take more risks on signings. This whole premier league tested crap isn't cutting it. There are Matas and Silvas out there, but we continue to settle for the likes of Sigurdsson, Rooney, Cleverley. They don't always pan out. Neither do these 'safe signings.'

Lukaku talked about leaving from day 1 Barkley is leaving because of Koeman and Stones wanted out (Chelsea) the season before the Park End booing.

Depends what you want from a football club really doesn't it?

I strongly believe that a football club's (or any sport I suppose) most important business is to be an asset to the community and we do that better than most.

Constant top half finishes combined with some brilliant work to help those in need etc does not equate to knobheads dressing in clown suits with cakes to demand the board resigns in my opinion.

But hey, each to their own.

I distinctly remember the time we played Crystal Palace at home in Martinez's first season. We lost 3-2 if my memory serves me correctly. We were chasing an unlikely 4th place and we went down early on and never really looked like winning the game. I was sat in the Lower Gwladys and the atmosphere was one of the most unpleasant things I've ever witnessed in my life as a football fan. It was absolutely toxic and you'd have thought it was the game that was sending us in to the Championship. It was basically a competition of who could swear the most times in 90 minutes and who could be the most vulgar fan.

The expectations of some fans massively outweigh what we're actually capable of. It's important to remember this was before Moshiri came on board and we were still skint.

I remember Moyes' last few years here and some of the hate he was getting from certain sections, including our very own 'top 1%' poster on here. It's funny how times change.

Same here Ian. If he'd been afforded more time to develop we could have had an incredible player on our hands. At the very least we could have waited until this season and got top dollar for him.

It's absolutely serious.

I have no time for those who think that we should go on marches or fly planes demanding someone resigns because we are not Barcelona.

People only ever focus on the stuff on the pitch which has actually generally been fine anyway, not great or anything don't get me wrong, but fine, but with clubs going to the wall all the time or decimating the communities around them (our friends over the park for example) I see zero reason to be that annoyed with our lot that people want to do such ridiculous things. Bigger picture and all that.
