Are We Really Moving Forward?

I agree mate 100%

But maybe that was a perfect storm for him, He's had 10 jobs (?) how many has he failed in?
I only care about the managers record in the PL nothing else matters, that's why I knew Martinez was going to be an absolute failure and why I'm still hopeful Koeman will turn this around (for now)

I get that, I just look at the bigger picture mate

No idea. Really hard to tell at this point.

Two weeks to think about an absolutely toothless 5-0 defeat doesn't help.

Nothing even slightly redeeming about that game. Just grim.
True, the international break following is what it is to be an Evertonian. I remember when we Battered UTD and stormed past Villa away at the start of 12/13, thought top 4 was on, then out of nowhere 2-0 loss to WBA where we were woeful. What followed? An international break.

My knowledge of European football is atrocious, I simply don't care about it, I don't know any players outside of Barca, Real and Bayern. I know even less about the managers and their records. I didn't know who Unai Emery was until the EL final. If they've performed in this league, that's more important than doing well in Europe and not here, for example AVB.

Just use google to read up on his past jobs mate, Have a look and tell me what you think

The squad is rotten to the core full of nice guys with no winning mentality or fight. Until such time the squad has had a complete revamp we won't be moving forward.

With the exception of maybe half a dozen players, the rest of the squad is mid table material, they've reached their peak and there is no way any manger could get more out of them.

No more signing better teams cast offs. No more signing other teams pensioners. We start by signing highly sought after talent. We start by buying players in their prime.

Its pointless as it won't change my opinion on the job he did at Southampton, thats the sort of progression I'm looking for here. If we can win the next two, 24 points from 13 games, then this all goes away, if we put in 2 poor (or worse) performances then the pressure will heat up.

The whole situation is quite underwhelming, but I think a lot of that is self-inflicted, getting our hopes up far too high for the summer. Obviously things aren't going to change straight away and lots of work is still to be done, both behind the scenes and to the lads on the pitch. Quietly optimistic for the next couple of years, once Koeman has had a couple of windows to bring some much needed new blood into the squad.

We need players who aren't going to just fold and allow other teams to run rings around them. I want players who would be offended by the thought of it.
