Are we happy with Kranjcar replacing Steven?

A lot of reports seem to be hinting this is the way we are going to go. I really like Kranjcar and always thought if he had an extra couple of yards pace that he would be a really top top player. Very skilful, creative and technically proficient. However because of the lack of pace I would think he is far too similar to Mikel, whereas Steven brings a bit of speed and directness that neither of the other two probably have?

I'm not totally disheartened by the possibility just think we might slow down an already pretty pedestrian (paced) midfield...?

Pienaar himself has no pace at all really. Most of his game is about working with Baines.

If Kranjcar can form a partnership with Baines, which he is capable of, then he could do as well, maybe even better for us, as he himself is a better player in terms of goal-end productivity.

However I'd be surprised to see us get him. Mainly because he's boss, and we're Everton. We'll probably get no one in, and Ossie will play there.

According to Football Manager Steven has 13 acceleration Nike has 15. Steven has 14 pace and Nike has 12. So very similar in reality if we believe FM.

I'd be ecstatic, but it wont happen.

Although, a spurs mate of mine said he could actually see it happen. And he said Kranjcar was class, but he never plays.

i`d be happy with this swap, pienaar has been brilliant for us so if he goes then i wish him all the best, kranjcar could be a real cool bit of business, i hope it happens.

Most fans would obvioulsy want Pienaar to stay.. But if he goes and we get Kranjcar for him it wont be that bad..

Kenwright is going to have to open his purse soon..

I wouldn't be disappointed if we got Kranjcar, but I'd like to see Bily given a go. When he's come on recently he's seemed like he's really been giving it a go and his goals record for us is pretty much identical to Krancjar's for Spurs.

We've also got Gueye queuing up for a place on the left.

Bentley would make more sense. Perhaps we could do a deal with Spurs along the lines that they take Pienaar in January and we have Bentley on loan. If he settles, then we get a big discount on him. If not, they give us a modest fee for the remaining six months of Peanuts' contract.

Kranjcar for pienaar is a big step down imo. A Spurs reject for our best player over the last 2 years.

But if we have no alternative then so be it.
