Are we a team?

This all day.

Pampered to the nth degree.
A major issue with some, not all, players.
It's not the players fault it's the system.
Heads swilled by Bentleys, Lamborghini, Porsches, having the 'right look' (but still looking a nob!) etc...etc....
It comes to something where there's a guy at City's training facility that starts up their cars to warm them up so they don't get into a cold car ffs!

and your life is ruined if you don't have a Domenica Vacca wash bag @$7500.

Even in the dark days of 90's i always thought they fought for the badge&honour even if their footballing ability was questioned...what about now...have we sleepwalked in to a squad of mercanries that Ronnie cant unite??!(Think i spelt mercanries wrong but hey ho)

Is Koeman not a mercenary as well?

Don't kid yourself that he is here for love of the club or that he won't be off if and when a better offer comes along.

The days when footballers "fought for the honour&badge" ended somewhere between the day Jimmy Hill got the maximum wage abolished and the Bosman ruling came into force.

:)

Is that actually true

We are a side or a unit or an organisation, because there is no i in team. :p

To be fair all the new lads brought in seem to be team players. You would expect that from Walsh signings I suppose, hell even Mirallas and Lukaku have been on page and not spouting off to press about moves, so things are improving. Let's hope it keeps going that way.

We need to play well for a whole game and give another side a good beating, nothing like winning 4/5 nil to bring a team together.

there is an 'i' in 'unit' 'side' and 'organisation' - does that make any difference?

A team doesn't have to be a bunch of players who are all mates who love a club and who are willing to run through brick walls to wear the shirt. There are no teams like that at the level we play at.
Best a club can hope for is getting players together who buy into the manager's ethos. Get them all doing their best because they feel they can get the best out of themselves for personal reasons.
Teams come together for different reasons. Success would seem to be the best reason.
