Everton’s Premier League curtain raiser with Blackburn Rovers this weekend is heading for a complete sell-out.
The excitement and anticipation for the new campaign has been building around the club all week with sales steady at the box office.
So much so the club is urging any supporter wanting to get a glimpse of the early season action to buy their ticket in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.
Fans are also reminded that those who buy tickets for Everton’s games against either the Blackburn or Portsmouth will receive priority ticketing for the visit of Liverpool on September 27.
Acting Chief Executive Robert Elstone told evertonfc.com: “The first game at Goodison has historically proved to be popular amongst Evertonians and Saturday’s fixture is proving to be just the same.
“Everybody I have spoken to is looking forward to what will hopefully be another memorable campaign on the pitch and the increased media coverage following the official Premier League season launch over the past few days has only added to all the anticipation.
"We have spent a large part of the summer getting ready for the new campaign and now it is down to us all to make sure Goodison is full to the rafters every second week so we can give David and the players the support they deserve."

Are they lol'ing around???

Probably trying to drum up sales by pretending to be close to a sellout.

The Paddock, Park End and and Family Enclosure are completely sold out, with only the Upper Bullens at the Park End having anything but obstructed views.

Yep, they say we've spent lots of time getting ready, which we have. Pre-season tour to the states, games against PSV and other opposition. The players have been working hard in pre-season to be fit and to make sure they're ready to give us a season worth remembering.

Buying no new players doesnt mean our current ones should be undermined or not given the highest level of support that they all, the manager and the club need and deserve.

i rang yesterday after searching online for 3 together so i could take the kids, they had none together and she said they only had about 14 left, they said they would sell me some in the away end (upper) that were together though.
if you dont go all the time then its a mare cos when they go on general sale its hard to get them together and they are all obstructed (i know i know , most are obstructed). so i had to say no, lets face it if they are down to 14 left they are gonna be VERY obstructed.
if i'd gone in the away end i wonder if i would have got the same derby entitlement as everyone else ?

i was in the away end for the fiorentina game, hard to be obstructed unless you are literally right behind the post on row A. had a great view of them shitty penalties (n) I'm not surprised its nearlly sold out, last week would have seen many more turn up if it hadnt of been on telly

how does that work, being in the away end ? do they put you right next to our fans/stewards, cos if your right in the middle of them you cant be jumping up and down, tryin to start songs and stuff. what about when you go for a slash etc someone could easily whack ya, didnt fancy it with the kids, 5 year old would probably ask father xmas for a b/burn kit or somethin'
