Are the away fans correctly situated?

Don't know why people are talking about the location or acoustics of the away fans as if it is some excuse. We've given them the smallest allocation possible and sat them away from the goal.

Ultimately they are making more noise than our home fans. We outnumber them ten to one. Uncomfortable truth but we're not backing the team properly at home. That's the solution, not fannying around with premier league safety regulations or sound proof insulation ffs

This is based on the coin toss. Home team doesn’t get to choose. Dyche made a big point of this when we played away if we won the toss.
Exactly you do it away from home.

Choosing to do it at home would be insanity! Basically admitting that your own fans are sh1+

Havent been yet but the lack of atmosphere was noticeable on tv.
I'm presuming it's to do with the fact that lots are sitting/standing beside new people and it's harder to create an organic atmosphere where as the away fans are the other teams hard core fans and are all packed in together.
Need HD to get angry a few times to knit fans together.

It was worse at GP, easy to create atmosphere. Bad atmosphere has nothing to do with where visiting support is situated. When was it ever bouncing at GP against a crap side on a Monday. But at same time I don't think Bramley Moore will ever have same atmosphere at GP. Our support is now divided into fans who have had season tickets for years and aren't that bothered about active support, newer fans who just want to see Bramley Moore and super bloos who are increasingly prevalent on here, who are obsessed with doing everything other than supporting team. I gave up with a lot of our supporters when they abused fans who walked out against Arsenal. Now a lot of our fans just seem content to lose certain games and tolerate crap performances. RS and Wolves games as an example, then you have fans who can't just accept we don't have a divine right to beat certain teams. Latter group only bother to support team against bigger clubs. I had a season ticket for years and I've got to say I don't identify with a lot of our fans now. 10/15 years ago our support was far better and far more united.

Kept saying this when I sat in the park end and could see the momentum the away team got kicking towards their own fans in the second half.

Could feel it last night as well.

Switch it up. Stop having the away team kick towards their fans in the second half.
I have to disagree with you on which goal we attack in the second half. At Goodison, we attacked the Gwladys Street (widely accepted as the part of the ground with the loudest atmosphere) in the second half of games whilst away sides would attack the Park End goal (closed to their supporters in the Bullens). Therefore this is not a new habit and more or less matches what we did at Goodison.

At Hill Dickinson Stadium, we have attacked towards the South Stand in the second half, which should be the home section with the best atmosphere, thus aligning with what we did at Goodison when attacking towards the Gwladys Street. It should not matter whether the away team are attacking towards their fans or not in the second half of matches as it is up to our players to get a result.

No. They should be swapped with the Family Stand. If that was the case you could force proper segregation and send them down the far side of the north stand round to the turnstiles. Same on egress as well, totally pointless at the minute because everyone comes out and meets them at the north east corner.

or build a cantilevered away stand in the gap all along the top of the north stand but keep the glass.
Just like at the Camp Nou😂

We should be absolutely bouncing and pinning teams back at the other end of the pitch towards that massive stand. Never mind what 3000 away fans are doing in the corner.

This really.

Newcastle’s United Official Statement:

“Newcastle United can confirm the club has been granted exemption from the Premier League’s ‘Away Supporter Location’ ruling.

“Premier League rule 10.3, which was introduced at the start of the 2017/18 season, requires clubs to locate away supporters together, with a minimum of one seating block to be situated pitch-side, subject to local authority approval.

“Since the redevelopment of St James’ Park in 2000, away supporters have been located on level seven of the Leazes Stand and will remain there after extensive consultation with the local authority, emergency services and independent consultants concluded it to be the most appropriate location to ensure the safety of away supporters.

“The club adopted a positive approach following notification of the Premier League’s rule change and commissioned detailed crowd flow modelling of supporter movements on a match day, to determine if a safe relocation option could be accommodated.

“This considered all stands and sections within the stadium.

“However, analysis showed that each proposed option for relocation significantly increased the risk of confrontation, conflict and potential disorder between home and away supporters entering and, in particular, exiting the stadium.

Following a number of meetings of the stadium Safety Advisory Group, the Local Authority formally agreed not to support any move of away supporters from their current location, concluding that such a relocation would introduce a significant risk to spectator safety.

“The club is satisfied that it has taken all reasonable steps to comply with the ruling and welcomes the granting of an exemption by the Premier League.”

Must be a North East thing as a few years back Sunderland relocated away fans from behind the goal at one end to the upper tier at the other so not sure how they get past the "one seating block situated pitch side" quoted above?
