Ban them for life.

The more I see of Perez's comments and the clubs "apologies" the more it annoys me.

As for the fans and players the players can just move on to somewhere else, the players can enjoy rising through the divisions with their new phoenix clubs as they are "big" clubs they will come up straight away.
What a hilarious spectacle them six fighting for two automatic promotion places in the conference - it would certainly help all those downtrodden semi professional teams that's for sure. Rinse and repeat for at least five/six years before they could even all get near top flight football again.
A punishment truly befitting the crime.

I dont think points will be deducted and as the supporters were screwed over it's probably not right but I do think a 1-2 year transfer ban would be a good punishment.

Over 90% of Spurs fans were against the ESL. Not sure why we should.be punished because our billionaire owner wanted even more money.
Then you are an arse clown and clearly don’t understand football or the passion behind it.
All clubs who’s owners have acted inappropriately, broken rules or spent too much have suffered the consequences.
I don’t recall the clamour of the fans feelings in all those occasions.
Stop acting like you deserve special dispensation otherwise you come across a bit...well “kopite”

If my club had been part of this I would welcome any punishment that meant the parasitic ownership would be more likely to sell up and leave.

Fines get passed on to the fans, so any punishment needs to target what it was these grasping sociopaths were after. A guaranteed income stream from European club competition. First thing that needs to go are these bonus two places in the CL starting 2024.

My other ideas involve bans from European football, coefficient resets and being fired by giant canons into the sun.

If there isn’t some kind of proper punishment then it’s joke. These same clubs will be conspiring at this very moment. They will be sowing the seeds for another way to kill football in this country to line their own pockets. This won’t end so they need potting. They need relegating, to league 2 at least, to take their power away.

But of course that won’t happen because money is king and the best we will see is some execs hung out to dry. Pathetic really.

Does if they support the club.

This is a bit much, it could have easily been us had the American takeover happened instead of Moshiri, or if Johnson was in charge at this point. It's not like you or I have any control over the club. Owners are like sand in the hourglass, they are there now but eventually they will go and their legacy should not tarnish the club over it's entire history, just that period of it.

This isn't really a point either, Bury's fans shouldn't have been punished for its owner's decisions either. We shouldn't have been for Heysel - start treating clubs differently because who they are is the thin edge of the wedge and is exactly why they thought they had the big bollocks to leave in the first place.

FWIW I don't see massive fines and sanctions being brought down on these 6 but the PL needs tighter controls to keep these on the leash.

Relegate them all to the 2nd Division and then watch as 2 from 6 don't make it out.. It might take Spurs (2021) about 7 years to get back to the PL.

Nope. If you read my posts I was against the ESL and said so right at the start. People here are being idealistic which i respect. I am being more pragmatic.
I think it's a shame you have to act as a lighting rod for the flak made by the club.

Big fine and transfer ban might be the most workable.

It's also a shame H.H. ain't around, as I'm sure he'd have a colourful take on all of this!

@Yid4life - you can stick your pragmatism up your hoop mate -

Your club and the other 11 carried out an attempted coup on the national and international game, just out of greed and avarice - you can't dissasociate the fans from the club, they are one thing.

How does it feel to support a club that treats their self titled legacy fans like dirt?

You lot will still be going the club shop and buying the merch, just like our lovable neighbours, and putting your bunting up for the traitors league cup final, when you and legacy fans of the other 5 clubs should be doing everything possible to get these owners out - they have made you a zombie club with no heart or soul, and yet you continue to act like zombies?!

Nothing should be off the table, in relation to sanctions imposed, as the league's will recover when the filth is removed - the "cash cow" needs slaughtering.

I'd like to see all six of them have the ownership of the clubs stripped from them by the government without compensation and then the ownership to be auctioned off with profits going to public utilities

That'd stop that sort of nonsense dead in its tracks as it's the owners pushing for it; losing your entire investment is fitting
